OVERVIEW
We are busy Mexican restaurant in San Pedro seeking a high-energy, enthusiastic Server/Food Runner to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that we are able to serve our guests promptly and that they receive their orders quickly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires knowledge of using a POS system along with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ability to take customer food and drink orders accurately and in a timely manner.
-Accurately handle cash and card transactions
-Prepare and package to-go orders for delivery partners and pick up orders as needed.
-Assist other servers in ensuring that guests receive excellent service and enjoy a positive dining experience
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
-Communicate effectively with team members regarding order status and guest requests.
-Adhere to food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times.
-Greet and seat guests, as well as answer the phone system as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
-Applicant must have at least two years experience in food service or restaurant settings.
-Familiarity with food and liquor handling practices and safety regulations.
-Applicant must have a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
-Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
-Excellent communication skills, English with knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
-Experience with POS systems.
-Ability to work with team members.
-Flexibility to work various shifts, which includes evenings and weekends. We are not open for breakfast or lunch during the week, so no morning or lunch shifts are available at that time.
