VACCEB provides a variety of supportive services, including food security, senior programs,
information and assistance, education classes (ESL, Digital Literacy, Citizenship), health and
wellness, advocacy work, and employment placement assistance. We are currently looking to hire a Program Assistant to support our many programs, specifically our food security program.
Duties
● Clean the center; mop common areas, clean bathrooms thoroughly, and ensure the center is tidy M-F
● Hands out meals/grocery bags 3x a week
● Work with program coordinators to help with food deliveries and pickups 3x a week
● Help pack meal bags in preparation for deliveries
● Review food inventory for accuracy and proper storage
● Provide intake for new clients
Qualifications:
● Polished written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to work directly and indirectly with underserved communities.
● Demonstrated experience and skills as a program assistant and successfully working within
assigned deadlines and limited resources
● Ability to work for sustained periods of time in a dynamic and often stressful environment
calmly.
● Valid drivers license is required!
● Bilingual ability in Vietnamese and/or Cantonese preferred
Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:30a-5p
Position: 100% FTE
Pay: $19/hr
