Project Manager, Hon's Construction, Inc. (San Francisco)
Hon's Construction, Inc. (HCI) has been a San Francisco Bay Area general contractor since 1982. We do residential remodels, facade repair, exterior and interior renovation, and unit-turn work for homeowners, property management companies, building owners and private clients. We're growing and looking for a Project Manager to run projects from bid through closeout.
What you'll do
1. Run multiple projects at once, from estimate and proposal through closeout and final billing.
2. Review plans and scope, do quantity takeoffs, and build accurate estimates and proposals.
3. Manage budgets, schedules, change orders and billings, and keep each job on or above its target margin.
4. Coordinate and hold accountable subcontractors, suppliers, field crews and superintendents.
5. Be the main contact for clients, property managers, architects, engineers and building inspectors.
6. Handle permits, inspections, safety requirements, lien waivers and job documentation.
7. Keep project records current in JobTread and give daily updates to the Operations Manager.
What you bring
1. 2+ years as a project manager or assistant project manager with a general contractor, ideally in the Bay Area.
2. Experience with residential remodels and with exterior, facade, or multi-unit residential and commercial renovation.
3. Strong estimating, cost control and scheduling skills.
4. Clear, professional communication, in writing and in person.
5. Comfortable spending the day in the field on active job sites.
6. Experience with JobTread and Excel is a plus.
7. Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.
Compensation and benefits
1. $100,000 per year base salary, paid semi-monthly.
2. 401(k) plan.
3. 10 paid vacation days per year, paid sick leave, and paid holidays.
4. Company vehicle after 30 days of employment, with a clean driving record. During the first 30 days, work travel is reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate, plus parking and tolls.
5. Company phone and iPad provided.
Location and schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday, in the field. You'll travel between our job sites around the San Francisco Bay Area to oversee and check on work. No daily office time is required.
