Customer Service Representative

For over 20 years, Post & Parcels has provided San Francisco with reliable packing, shipping, mailbox, and office services. We're a small, local business — your work here matters every day.
We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our retail team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys helping people and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
• Greet customers and assist with shipping, packing, mail, and retail purchases
• Identify customer needs and go above and beyond to meet them
• Process shipments for UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL using Postal-Mate POS
• Securely pack fragile items (artwork, electronics, etc.) for shipment
• Operate the register for cash, credit, and check payments
• Scan and sort carrier drop-off packages for pickup
• Manage private mailboxes: receive and sort mail, scan incoming packages, process enrollments and renewals
• Assist with printing, copying, faxing, and scanning
• Stock packaging materials, receive inventory, and keep the store clean and organized
• Complete closing procedures: shipping manifests, cash drawer balancing, end-of-day reports
Required
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable learning POS systems
• Friendly, collaborative team player
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Preferred
• Prior retail or customer service experience
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Familiarity with shipping carriers/procedures
Schedule & Standards
• Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
• Some Saturdays during the Christmas holiday season
• Clean, professional appearance required
