Made with a lightweight Columbus SLX Aluminum frame complemented by a carbon fiber fork, this bike strikes the perfect balance between performance and comfort. Both the frame and components are in excellent condition.
The bike is built with Shimano Ultegra 6500 3x9 speed drivetrain with a 52/39/30t triple crank and 12–26t cassette. The triple crank gives you a particularly wide range of gearing, making this bike a very capable climber and a good choice for Bay Area riding. even though it is older it still outperforms many brand new entry level $1200-1400 road bikes available in stores.
Light and fast Mavic Ksyrium clincher wheels spin true and smooth. Ksyrium is Mavic’s premium flagship aluminum wheelset that has earned the reputation of being an industry’s benchmark for when “light/well balanced/fast/strong/low maintenance” comes in one package. Specialized 25mm tires are barely used.
Bike is already tuned up. As a bike mechanic, I went through the bike carefully to make sure everything works exactly as it should. Shifting is crisp, brakes are properly adjusted, bearings are smooth, and the bike has been tuned and is ready to ride. This saves you a $150+ trip to a bike shop to have it checked ($250+ if you also need to fix things) – something shoppers need to consider while looking at used bikes on marketplaces. New, chain bartape, tires and broken components do add up quickly.
this bike is ideal for riders between 5'3" and 5'7" tall.
I collect and restore vintage bikes, and I enjoy bringing gently used more recent models back to like-new condition. It’s always rewarding to see them back on the road, helping people stay active and reduce car use. I also offer repairs and tune-ups for the bikes I sell - please check out my Instagram - sfbikemarket.
