Lightweight, comfortable, and surprisingly quick road bike. When Cannondale introduced the Synapse, it proved that an endurance bike didn't have to feel slow or heavy. Using their SAVE (Synapse Active Vibration Elimination) design and triaxial construction, Cannondale created a frame that smoothed rough pavement without sacrificing the responsive handling and efficient power transfer riders expected from a performance road bike. The Synapse quickly became one of the company's most popular models and helped set the standard for endurance road bikes that followed.
This bike is equipped with a Shimano 105 5700 3x10 speed drivetrain, featuring a 50/39/34t compact crankset that's equally at home on Bay Area climbs or fast flat roads. Shimano 700c wheels spin smooth and true, fitted with 25/28mm tires that still have plenty of life left.
As a bike mechanic, I went through the bike carefully to make sure everything works exactly as it should. Shifting is crisp, bearings are smooth, and the bike has been fully tuned. It needs nothing and is ready to ride.
48cm frame fits riders approximately 5'2" to 5'6", depending on inseam and riding style.
I collect and restore vintage bikes, and I enjoy bringing gently used more recent models back to like-new condition. It’s always rewarding to see them back on the road, helping people stay active and reduce car use. I also offer repairs and tune-ups for the bikes I sell - please check out my Instagram - sfbikemarket.
