About Us:
The Unity Center offers a positive path for spiritual living. We are a spiritually progressive, socially responsive and unapologetically incluse community welcoming people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions who resonate with being "spiritual, but not religious."
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, tech-savvy Livestream Operator to join our team on an ongoing, weekly basis for our Sunday morning service. This is a straightforward, low-stress position focused purely on live camera operation and monitoring the stream. Zero personal gear and zero post-production/editing are required.
What You Will Be Doing:
9:30 AM: Arrive for setup check, camera framing, and audio/video input checks.
10:00 AM – 11:10 AM: Operate our house Canon XA75 camera and broadcast live to our Vimeo livestream platform (software is pre-configured—starting and stopping the stream requires minimal setup).
11:10 AM – 11:30 AM: Wrap up equipment, ensure the feed has ended properly, and pack away house gear.
Note: Post-production, video editing, and uploading recorded archives are currently handled by a separate team member.
Requirements:
Basic experience operating video cameras (familiarity with Canon camcorders or similar prosumer gear is a plus).
Familiarity with livestreaming tools or software linked to Vimeo.
Punctual, dependable, and aligned with or respectful of our inclusive, progressive values.
How to Apply:
Please send a brief note outlining your experience with video production, camera operation, or A/V technology, and confirm your general availability for Sunday mornings.
