Have three different sizes-( three of each size)-of mailboxes from 1981. Security Manufacturing Corp. (SMC) was a specialized manufacturer known for producing brass mailbox doors and hardware, particularly for apartments and private postal centers during the 1980s. Approved by the U.S. Postal Service. With four doors, each door measures 6.5'' tall x 14.25'' deep x 10.5'' wide. With 16 doors, each door measures 5.5'' wide x 14.25'' deep x 6'' tall. With 30 doors, each door measures 3.5'' wide x 5'' tall x 14.25'' deep. Have 3 of each size. There outside measurements for 4 doors-is 23.5'' wide x 14.25'' deep x 14'' tall. The other two are both the same outside measurements at 22'' wide x 26.5'' tall x 14.5'' deep. These have a nostalgic look and feel and could be used as Approved United States Postal mailboxes. Or a very unique display case or storage for anything you could imagine. The locks are accessible from the rear, two screws and they come off. You can remove the cam and leave the lock for a cool storage unit. Only have a handful of keys that came with each unit.
