Johnson seahorse 9.5 horse power 2 stroke outboard motor with 1960s collectable style
Seems to need gasoline tank with adapter fuel line and pull start seems to work and looks all good to go and just needs a little work to get started running again
These are good outboard motor styles and with a little maintenance are running around and a valueble item for any boat with about a good usefulness
I got two outboard motors for a fiberglass lancer powersailer and these usually have a inboard engine and when I got it the previous owners had installed a solar tower in the end of the boat and then taken the outboard motor mount design and filled in the center panel and moved the outboard motor mount bracket to the side so I was trying to get two evinrude Johnson 8hp outboard motors for the boat and then get a new motor mount for the left side that would parallel the right side on the tiler end of the sailboat and it seems like it would work. I had my first outboard motor and a mechanical assistant from the San Diego mooring got it going and then said to replace the pull start rope and handle which I tried every day for months and had to give up and sell the outboard motor on Craigslist and get another and it seems the same where I try to see how it works and it has not started once since I got it and now I can not get the fly wheel to move and yet when out of the water and dry it seemed possibly fine when I bought it advertised like new and it looked good so I have it for sale on Craigslist San Diego for $100 or best offer and it was originally $200 and these seem like they are useful yet take a expert to get going and I am a beginner so I was wondering if you know about outboard motor maintenance and possibly how to find a way to sell or trade these so I can get my sailboat going as I am stuck with it taking up the whole space in the sailboat and marina in San Diego bay where I am has also a lot of sailers yet i sometimes seem the only person trying this and I had to get another outboard motor and it works yet the sailboat needs a reliable backup as these seem like the outboard engines sometimes need to rotate so they are in the ocean when using and then out and rinsed and dry so they can stay maintained and working
