A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides hands-on support, care, and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. DSPs help individuals with daily living activities, personal care, independence, and community participation while ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being.
✅ Job Responsibilities Include:
Providing personal hygiene care and assistance with daily living activities.
Supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Working with individuals who may exhibit behavioral challenges.
Providing compassionate, patient, and respectful care.
Encouraging independence, social engagement, and life skills.
Maintaining a safe, supportive, and positive environment.
