We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator and Warehouse Worker. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of goods within our warehouse facility. The successful candidate will operate various material-handling equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks, to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment. Duties
Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, and pallet jacks in accordance with OSHA and safety standards.
Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment while adhering to heavy lifting and manual handling protocols.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and inventory management practices.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
Follow warehouse safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas and optimizing space utilization.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with safety standards.
Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking and inventory tasks.
Experience
Proven experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology used in logistics operations.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
Prior experience in shipping & receiving, inventory management, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
Basic math skills for counting items accurately and managing inventory data.
Experience working under strict safety protocols in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including order picking, load & unload procedures, and materials handling best practices.
