CNC OPERATORS – 1st & 2nd Shift – San Antonio

• $18.00/HR to Start, Depending on Experience

Summary
Responsible for operating multiple CNC machines within established standards and inspecting parts during the machining process. Operator will be responsible for the quality of the parts being produced and for achieving production standards.
Job Duties
• Set-up and operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously without routine
• Crossing training on all CNC equipment.
• Perform basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of
• Interpret basic dimensions on a print and loads, unload and inspect parts while maintaining dimensional tolerances within specifications.
• Accurately utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins and depth micrometers.
• Detect equipment malfunctions and/or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine as required to ensure quality of production.
• Report machining problems to supervisor for assistance.
• Maintain a clean work area, including equipment, and observe all safety procedures
• Follow documented operator procedures including but not limited to inspection check sheets and operator notes.
• Performs other duties as needed
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in setting up multi-axis CNCs; preferably routers, horizontal milling, and/or vertical milling machines.
• CNC programming is a plus
• Knowledge and use of precision measuring instrument, including but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, and
• Understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
• Must be able to cross-train and run multiple machines simultaneously.
