an upgrade for my last google review which was 1 star for installing an oil filter with no gasket (which was sloppy work) which resulted in an oil leak. T.W.A. reached out to apologize for the oversight and offered a small compensation for future services. a good move. but they also requested that i remove the review to receive such. i will never remove an honest review that was wholly factual. it is to me dishonest to request such.

Scammed 2 elderly people that I sent there. I’ve been going to Axxx for years and this is the second person they scammed in the past year that I sent. I had a similar experience where I went in to get my AC unit checked and when I came back, I had $100 bill and he didn’t know what was wrong with the AC unit. He told me I would have to pay another hundred dollars to get it fixed. When I say he that is the new manager or whatever he is. I don’t know what’s going on, but ever since Axxx hasn’t been present The other guy seems to be dishonest. Wouldn’t recommend going there to anybody else. Myself, my brother T…, my friend M…., and his mom all have had similar situations this past year here.

Oil change, developed an oil leak. Took to different mechanic, they said there was no gasket on oil filter. An oil change!! Not technical at all so only attributable to sloppy work. By the way, they charged me nothing. I am sure u would want to know.

Overpriced, bad faith service, un-authorized work done, violation of Wisconsin State Statutes ATCP132.03 and ATCP 132.05. deceptive sales practices. My experience with T.W.A. of St Francis, WI, August 24 – 31, 2026; On Monday, August 24, 2026 at 8am, I requested in writing, a typed-out paper copy, stating therein, specifically, that; “Need to have both front struts replaced on my 2014 Nissan Sentra and an oil change if you have time”, no other work nor inspection was requested or authorized. At this time, I received a verbal quote from the counter person that the cost for the strut replacement would be about $1,350.00, which I assumed included the front-end alignment, it did not. He stated that they could not work on the vehicle until at least Friday, however, he convinced me to leave the car there and they would notify me when they would begin the work. That very same day, ay 8:27am, T.W.A. Instant messaged me stating, “All set Rxx, your appointment with T.W.A. for your 2014 Nissan Sentra is confirmed for Friday, August 28th at 8:00am”. On August 25, about 11:00am, I called T.W.A. and then requested they also install a new serpentine belt: (I added this item because the retail cost of the belt is approximately $20.00 and takes about 5 minutes to install: On T.W.A. invoice #14198, created on August 25, they listed the cost for this service at $277.99.) T.W.A. failed to provide a written repair order as required by Wisconsin State Statute ATCP 132.03 that clearly and legibly describes the repairs authorized by the customer.
On Friday, August 28, at 9:50 am, T.W.A. telephoned me with a new quote for over $4,000.00. His explanation for the increased estimate was the vehicle also needed new sway bars in order to do the alignment, and, also stating the car also needed a new exhaust system starting from the resonator all the way to the muffler, a new oil pan gasket, a new motor mount, and new windshield wipers. He gave no reason on why the exhaust system needed to be replaced, but stated that the oil pan gasket had a bad leak, that it was significant. On this I informed him that it had only been about 1,000 miles since my last oil change and I checked the oil regularly and have never had to add any oil to the engine since then. He also stated the reason for needing a new motor mount was that the mount was funky and looked worn. And, that the windshield wipers left streaks on the windshield. Keep in mind that I had NEVER requested any type of vehicle inspection to begin with, but was charged $79.43 for this service, and at this time he would not give me any idea when they would begin the repairs, nor when my requested car repairs would be completed as required by Wisconsin State Statute ATCP 132.05.
At first, I declined all the additional repair requests except for the oil pan gasket, which made the new estimate quote for the struts, sway bars, alignment, oil change, and serpentine belt to a total of $2,528.08. Then I immediately cancelled the oil pan gasket which made the new quote at $2,240.43. On the next morning, on Saturday, I walked over to the T.W.A. lot which was closed, and discovered that my vehicle was parked in their lot, and it appeared apparently no repair work had yet begun. I then went back home and sent an instant message to T.W.A. at 07:03am canceling the request for an oil change and serpentine belt replacement, and also again requested to know when my vehicle will be ready for me to retrieve, which was not answered.

Overpriced When I initially made my appointment over the phone I was told one price for an inspection, upon arriving at my appointment I was told a higher price even though I shared the same information over the phone as I had in person. I was also told that the inspection price would go towards the service of whatever I wanted them to fix. When scheduling for that service I was told that the inspection price does not go towards the service and that I would have to pay full price. I was also told over the phone that once inside I can schedule an appointment for the needed service. Once I went inside to retrieve my car I paid for the inspection & was not prompted to schedule an appointment. I had to reach out the next day on my own to schedule an appointment myself & was then told the inspection fee does not go towards the service even though I was initially told that it does. I would not recommend at all!

Overpriced T.W.A.’s new office clerk tried selling me services I did not need. In November of 2025, this customer took his truck to T.W.A. for front end concerns. The clerk later called and said my brake light was out and I also had an oil leak. Took my car to Sxxxxxxx Automotive who stated there wasn't a oil leak and my brake light was not out. To make matters worse, the clerk tried scaring me about the safety of my vehicle and that I could get pulled over because of my upper can brake light. Very troubling.

I have been going to this shop for a few years. Every time I go, they find something new that's wrong with my car. I hadn't thought much of it, because I bought my car used. However, this last time I took it in for an oil change and an inspection. They told me I needed to replace my entire front brake system & there were some things with my suspension that needs replacing. They told me it would take just under $2k to fix everything. I asked them if there was anything that could wait, because I'm young and I don't have that kind of money to drop on my car at once. They informed me that it was dangerous to drive my car as it is, and even tried to get me to sign up to finance these repairs.
Luckily, my boyfriends dad is a mechanic, so I had him take a look at the things that this shop had warned me of. I just wanted to ensure that I could drive it to work until I could figure out how to pay for the repairs. After he looked at the car, he told me that there was a loose caliper on one of my brakes, but that was an easy fix. Nothing needed to be replaced. He encouraged me to get a second opinion on the rest of the issues. If you go to T.W.A., and they find a bunch of issues with your car, I would take it in elsewhere for a second opinion. Or, just don't waste your time. Seems like a scam and a money grab place for people who are uneducated on this stuff.

Do not go to this place for the emission test. The old mad doing the emission tests is rude and will tell you to go to hell. The old man doesn't know how to do his job and can't find the VIN number with the computer using the license plates and he will ask you for the title of the car or the registration other wise he will not do the emission test. I will file a complaint with the DMV. This place doesn't reserve to do emission tests anymore.

Used to go here when it was Zxxxxxxxxx's. Always got treated well and great prices. These people could take a lesson from B. Zxxxxxxxxx and run a respectable business. Charged me $50 to replace an alternator belt and I took the old one ( injured shoulder so couldn't complete job) off and supplied the belt. Took all of 10 minutes, I paid cash and was told they would text a receipt which I never did receive. Shady at best. Find a different place for service. Don't recommend it.

They used glue on my driver side front bumper clip and on my hood bracket covers instead of buying new ones so they wouldn’t have to spend the money from my insurance company. Everything looked fine at first til after a year when I notice things coming loose because of the GLUE. Negative Quality

I needed emissions test and this place had decent reviews, was relatively close to home and had an online booking service to make an appointment. I booked online for an 8am appointment 2 days prior and received 2 text notifications to confirm. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and they weren’t open yet so I waited in my car. I saw the tech arrive and walk in at 8am. I’m not sure I ever witnessed anyone going to work with less enthusiasm. He practically crawled into the building. He turned on the ‘Open’ neon sign so I went in and said I had an 8am emissions appointment. He said they weren’t doing emissions because their lot had not been plowed from the snow storm in the morning the day prior. I got no cancellation notice or anything. As I walked out the door he mumbled sorry to my back. Was going to give them a try, but I’ll never be back. 1/28/21 Update: Funny how T.W.A. says the state law requires you do the service as walk-up only but I just spoke to Mxxxxxx and they only do emissions by appointment and said it’s definitely not in violation of state law. Oh well.

Failed emission testing 1st time. I had waited approx 1hr. Tester "Gxxx " stated the mileage of my 2018 vehicle was low and effected monitor reading. He said put 100 miles on vehicle before 2nd testing. I drove 30 mins on 45 mph street next day and waited 1 hr again but passed testing. I returned with two 4bottles per case of beer for all the workers. Gxxx took the "gift" and did not share as I had asked him. He told me this the next day when I checked how the gift was received. I will not return to T.W.A. next time.

This is hard post to write. I genuinely liked the guy I dealt with at the counter however I'm not pleased with the end result. This is the 2nd time the shop has been used, last time they forgot to tighten down the lug nuts on the car and the wheel fell off a few miles down the road. Was a mistake, mistakes happen. Figured Took my car in because at 5 mph and under my ABS kicks in and I had a transmission cooler line leak. Well they called and confirmed my leak, and said it was probably a corroded ground causing my ABS to go off. Then they rattled off a bunch of other things my car 'needed'. Well it is older an has 107,000 miles on it. However he said needed a tune up...um, I just bought this 6 months ago as a hauler. It has individual coil packs, and spark plugs. I replaced them, engine is running fine. What tune up do you speak of? Said my front breaks were worn down. Just had a front wheel off, front pads are fine.
Said i had a rear differential leak, I said i new that, i had recently changed the fluid, but the cover/gasket were in such bad shape I decided to get a new cover/gasket/bolts. I said I had one, but since they had it in the air for other stuff would they put it on? Sure he says.
Well they booked it out at over an hour to replace the rear cover. It's like 10 bolts and I could've done it in 30 minutes on my garage floor. New tie rod(inner and outer) upper ball joints and alignment. Ok not really needed at this point but would sooner or later and since it was in the shop go ahead. Picked up the car, well alignment is good, but complained about ridiculous charge of replacing cover, he tried to make right by offering a free oil change. I settled for a $40 credit.
ABS still goes on when I stop to under 5mph. Guess they didn't want to fix that.
So $1450 later, one of the two things I wanted done was fixed. A bunch of other stuff was tacked on that while worn, really wasn't a priority at the time but as I said, it was in the shop. I also paid $128 for them to remove and replace a cover/gasket/bolt set I provided for would be a 15 minute job since the vehicle was on their rack already. Bottom line this place will up sell those that are unsuspecting, sell you stuff like tune up's without verifying it's needed or if it's been done. My opinion, better off to avoid unless you know cars well enough to not get ripped off. As I stated, he tried to make it right($40 isn't right) but when I found out the ABS still didn't work which is one of the 2 items I asked to be addressed, you may as well go somewhere else and a little more straightforward. I won't say they're dishonest, but I cannot recommend them in the least. Negative Quality, Value

Dropped my vehicle off to get my sunroof fixed. They kept the car all day and all night. The next morning they called to say they would be working on it, then without so much as a phone call, they closed up shop for the weekend. I went down there to find my car locked in their garage with the sunroof still open. Now they've got my car until 8:00 am Monday, and I can't get ahold of anyone. That's not even the first bad experience, when I took my Audi A6 in for an oil change, their mechanic left a big hand print on my white headliner. I wrote it up as an accident and moved on with my life. I should not have used them again.

Stripped oil pan nut on a routine oil change from not using a torque wrench. Then stripped out lug nuts on my parents van and had the nerve to tell them they were going to charcge them to fix the lug nuts they stripped. Has gone down hill since owner isn’t around! Never go here for any service you will be sorry.
