For sale is this beautiful, cast iron, miniature copy, or salesmen sample, of the original Simplex Screw Jack, known as "Jack in a Box", made by the same manufacturer, Templeton, Kenly, &Co., that manufactures the large version of Simplex jacks for the Railroads and other uses. These detailed miniatures of real Simplex jacks, could help out at home with many chores, around the house, as the jack actually works, like the larger version. These miniature Simplex jacks, were originally given away at the World's Fair in Chicago, in 1933-34, as a promotion, being made on site. This cast iron piece was also a toy used by industrious kids, imitating their dads. This Jack and the Box are in pristine condition, no paint loss, at all, the red is vibrant, never restored, all original. The Box is all original and in amazing bright graphics condition, with all corners and folded flaps intact.
Also included, is the scarce jack handle and the original packing paper. This jack works like the large version, with threads and peep hole to view the action. The original Simplex Jack were used for a variety of vehicles, cars, trucks, trains, farm use, etc. This is a wonderful collectible for an advertising buff, a toy fan , a car, or truck fancier, just a great survivor. Box measures about 4'' tall and about 1 1/2" square. Actual jack is 3" tall. Please view all pictures to further determine this toy's exceptional quality and condition. This beauty is located about 7 miles south of the Lynchburg, Va. Airport just off of Rt. 29s. Four3four.6six0.six6five6. I can ship.
