Room needed, or large Sandbox (Portland & Surrounding)

I'm very open-minded as to "alternative" living arrangements, such as shop/ garage space or rv-living. I spent about 2 years living off-grid in the high desert of Arizona, and loved it. However, I don't own any land here in Oregon.
Mostly, I'm resolved to find a shared arrangement.
I am passionate about art and music, so any creative types would top my list.
I don't discriminate between male/female or any protected class, as I am a member of many lol.
I'm open to living just about anywhere around Portland.
Most of my professional experience is in hotel and apartment maintenance, and I'm also a certified home inspector. That said, I'd love to be in a situation where I could help with a light remodel or any other home improvement projects. I am *not looking for a place to stay for free in return for work, just giving some basis for the type of stuff I like to do. Artwork would however top the list.
If it's a roommate scenario, my ideal situation would be with someone who has an interest in recording music, but not a deal-breaker.
Need a place soon, and as I said I am very open minded.. If it's a quarter acre of dirt with some kind of roof, passive solar water heat and a ham radio antenna, I'd be in heaven.
If it's a quality, empathetic, nice roommate situation, even better.
