Envision Real Estate & Management Co. is seeking a reliable, hardworking Maintenance Technician for an established residential apartment community in Rolling Meadows, IL. This is a full-time, year-round position working alongside our experienced maintenance team. We are looking for someone with strong general maintenance skills, a positive attitude, and pride in their work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform general apartment maintenance and repairs
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and drywall repairs
• Complete apartment turnovers, including painting, patching, and repairs
• Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Maintain hallways, laundry rooms, common areas, and building grounds
• Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and seasonal maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine property inspections
• Work alongside the lead maintenance technician on daily projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous apartment maintenance or general handyman experience preferred
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation
• Professional attitude when interacting with residents
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
• Starting pay of $25.50/hour
• PTO
• Health insurance with employer contribution
ON-CALL REQUIREMENT:
Participation in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours maintenance emergencies, including evenings and weekends, is required.
