L.J. Long Transportation LLC is hiring CDL-A company drivers for flatbeds and step-decks. We run Freightliner Coronados and Cascadia hauling construction equipment and materials regionally across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Pay: Start at 25% of load revenue during your probation period, with pay stepping up to 30% BOE after.

Title: CDL Class A Flatbed Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities:
Transport construction equipment and materials throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.
Maintain and operate top-of-the-line equipment.
Adhere to LJ Long Transportation safety and compliance standards.
Driver Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL, clean MVR
2+ years CDL-A OTR experience (1+ year flatbed or stepdeck preferred)
Comfortable pulling both flatbed and stepdeck trailers
Understanding of height and bridge clearance calculations for stepdeck loads
No DUI convictions in the past 5 years
No more than 1 moving violation in the past 12 months, no more than 2 in the past 36 months
Passes DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
Comfortable securing and tarping loads in all weather conditions
Dependable — communicates well with dispatch and handles paperwork/PODs promptly
Less flatbed/stepdeck experience considered with our trainer-ride training program
