1988 Com-Pac 19/3 sailboat - $7,000 (Riverside)

A stout pocket cruiser built to Hutchins and Com-Pac standards. Full keel with concrete ballast makes for a stable and comfortable vessel. Very rare on the West Coast, and rare anywhere in this condition.
Sails- Main and genoa cleaned and refurbished at Sailcare (over $300). Both in good+ condition. North jib/blade in as new condition.
Included is a brand new, unused mainsail. A Rolly Tasker 6 oz. Offshore grade main. Loose footed, double reefed with a full upper batten. I haven’t even put the battens in yet. (over $800).
Within the last year and a half:
Rigging-
Standing- all new 5/32” 1x19 wire for forestay, backstay, shrouds, bobstay, and newly installed/removable baby stays to facilitate mast raising. Mostly new hardware and fittings, and all swaging was professionally done at West Marine in Newport Beach. New masthead.
Running- all new 5/16” double braid for main and jib halyards, and jib sheets. New 1/4” topping lift. Newly installed stanchions blocks for a jib downhaul. New mainsheet with all new hardware. All lines led to cockpit. Lewmar 6 winches fully serviced.
Mast raising system, aka Tom Luque. Dedicated system with aluminum gin pole and 4:1 purchase blocks and line. All new. Your ten year old daughter can raise this mast.
Electrical- New group 24 deep cycle battery. New steaming light and cabin light.
Interior- all interior wood renewed. Cushions steam cleaned and sanitized. Four bronze opening ports. Spotless bilge with manual bilge pump, operated from the cockpit.
Exterior- custom mast crutch with independent pintles and gudgeons. Rudder completely re-finished. Bowsprit rebuilt, including bobstay. S.S boarding ladder. Cockpit cushions with DriDek cockpit sole. Newly painted cove stripe and pin striping. New hinged deck pipe. Canvas- Sunbrella tiller cover, hatchway cover and mainsail cover. All cleaned and re-sewn.
New lifelines with new Suncor swageless fittings.
New spreader boots.
Hull- Boat was removed from trailer to facilitate working on both boat and trailer. Bottom sanded, prepped and painted with two to three coats of Petit Hydrocoat. Boat has not been splashed since the bottom job was done.
Engine- Strong running Suzuki 6hp 2 stroke O/B. Fully serviced. Hasn’t been run in 6 months and carb was drained at that time. Tank, new fuel line assembly. Fresh fuel in tank with Marine Sea Foam added. Outboard cover and service manual for motor.
Trailer- essentially new. While boat was off the trailer it was completely disassembled, blasted and cold galvanized. All bolts replaced with either galvanized, stainless or grade 8 bolts. New parts-- hubs, springs, bearing buddies, wheel jack, coupler, wheels and tires (205/65-10 load range E) including spare. New tongue mount walking ramp and all new lighting.
New dock lines, pfd’s, fenders and safety equipment including fire extinguisher. Boat has been stored under a tarp and under a carport when not being used.
This well found little yacht has had an extensive re-fit. The quality and uniqueness of this vessel has it priced fairly and firmly at $7000.
