Here's a description from B&H Photo: The Teac MC-DX50i Slim CD System is a budget-friendly, all-in-one music center; an entertainment center, if you will allow the loose interpretation. Considering that the MC-DX50i does more than play CDs or dock and play your iPod - it's also an AM/FM tuner and has an AUX input jack - the title surely fits.
What's more, the unit is true to its name: it is "slim" - even compact, if you will. That means even in limited spaces you can enjoy the functionality of a multi-faceted music system with decent audio from a 5W per channel set of speakers and a 15W subwoofer. The aforementioned aluminum honey-comb diaphragm NXT speakers also mount to the wall, allowing for even more flexibility in set-up.
Additional features of the MC-DX50i include a backlit LCD screen, a remote control that also operates the iPod's basic functions, and a digital clock with timer and sleep timer options. When it comes to CD compatibility, the system will play CD-R/RW discs, and options such as repeat and shuffle are available. What's more, the CD player is of the "slot-in" variety, meaning no door will open. Just insert the CD into the top of the player and press the specified button to retrieve.
