Operations Manager / Maintenance Mechanic

Full-Time | Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
American Pallet Industries is seeking an Operations Manager/Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our manufacturing equipment running efficiently. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and occasionally operating automated pallet manufacturing equipment.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems, and keeping production moving.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Operate machinery when required
• Oversee machine operators and ensure equipment is running safely and efficiently
• Assist with equipment upgrades and improvements
Qualifications:
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with industrial machinery preferred
• Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, or fabrication experience is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Manufacturing experience preferred
Pay Based on Experience:
• $25/hour for candidates with a mechanical background with experience who are willing to learn and be trained on our equipment
• $35+/hour for an experienced maintenance mechanic who can step directly into the position with minimal training
