Centers For Opportunity (CFO) hires exceptional people who share our vision and values.Your job would be to provide a continental breakfast and hot lunch for our 40+ Reston Recovery Center participants Monday through Friday. Clean up is expected, as well. Hours are 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. 25 hours per week at $16-$18 an hour based on experience. You are an essential member of CFO Reston's staff.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate as the Kitchen Manager with a variety of tasks
Existing Food Handler's license or obtain licence prior to first day and also continue to keep Food Handler's license current- CFO pays for training.
Stock food and supplies
Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee, tea, and juice
Put out Continental Breakfast: cakes, pastries, etc. before opening
Prepare each meal including moving items to and from cooking and serving areas
Wash, peel and cut various foods to prepare for cooking and serving
Cook and re-heat food items;
Select food items from serving and storage areas and place them on trays
Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, containers, etc.
Maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner in compliance with state health and safety regulations
Arrange tables and eating utensils according to process
Clean and organize eating and service areas
Make shopping list
Maintain clean and organized freezer, refrigerator, and pantry areas
Prepare easy to serve meals such as defrosted meat, sandwich ingredients, prepared casseroles or canned meals such as ravioli for known absences of Kitchen Manager
Follow CFO Food Policy
Reports any health and/or safety concerns/violations
Support special events
Ensure kitchen appliances and equipment have been cleaned and tumed off at the end of each workday.
