Selling a custom, hand-built English Joiner’s Bench, crafted strictly according to the historic design popularized by YouTuber Rex Krueger. https://youtu.be/zcq1LQq08lk?si=QZH5WYvXqNp9wqND
This is a massive, rock-solid workbench designed specifically to handle heavy-duty hand-tool work without flexing, rocking, or bouncing (9:11). I am only selling it because it is ultimately too large for my shop space—otherwise, this would easily be my forever workbench. 5 handmade hardwood holdfasts are included.
Key Features & Premium Upgrades:
• 5-Year Seasoned Timber: Built entirely out of premium Pacific Hemlock Fir. The lumber was dry, ambient-rack seasoned for over 5 years before construction. It is incredibly stable, flat, and will not warp or twist like standard store-bought lumber.
• Extremely Rigid Modifications: Upgraded with custom blocking and a rear cross brace for maximum lateral stability (2:43). The heavy undercarriage totally eliminates bounce when hammering or chopping mortises (11:28).
• Modular & Maintainable Top: The benchtop 2x8 planks are mounted using 80 heavy-duty, 2.5" deck screws (20 per plank) hidden under beautiful, removable oak plugs. No glue was used on the top, meaning the planks can easily be removed or replaced in the future if they ever wear out (14:02).
• Easy Disassembly: The trestle legs are secured to the aprons, each leg using 2 massive 1/2" carriage bolts (7:03). The benchtop assembly and trestles can be fully disassembled for flat transport (9:06).
• Holdfast Ready: Cleanly drilled with standard 3/4" holdfast holes across the top for versatile, rapid work holding (4:27).
• Beautiful Finish: 100% finished in 3 applications of Boiled Linseed Oil to protect the wood while highlighting the beautiful grain structure. Dimensions:
• Length: 84 inches
• Width: 28 inches
• Height: 35-1/2 inches

Must pick up. Please note that this bench is extremely heavy and solid. You will need a truck, large van, or trailer, along with an extra set of hands to help load it. If absolutely necessary, we can pull the carriage bolts to break the bench down into the trestle assemblies and top assembly for transport (9:06).
