We are seeking a caring, dependable, and compassionate Support Staff member to join our day program serving adults with developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate care and daily support to adults with developmental disabilities.
Assist participants with personal care and daily living activities.
Be comfortable providing personal hygiene care, including changing adult diapers.
Support individuals with a variety of needs and abilities, including autism, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, and individuals who are ambulatory or wheelchair dependent.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants.
Work as part of a 3:1 staff-to-participant ratio, with an LVN on staff for additional support.
Qualifications:
No prior experience is required—we are willing to train the right person!
A minimum of 1 year of caregiving or DSP experience a PLUS
Must be compassionate, patient, dependable, and comfortable working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Must be comfortable assisting with personal care and toileting needs.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Schedule & Benefits:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
Starting pay: $19.00/hour
Most major holidays are observed and paid
On-the-job training provided
Pre-employment physical and drug screening required
Live Scan/background check required
