Retro Comp is a workhorse compressor pedal for your bass. Seeking to capture that indescribable 90's aesthetic, RC is based around the same vintage VCA chip as the Boss CS-3 and Ibanez BP10, and can do everything from tasteful transparent compression to full squish. If you're not a bass player, we forgive you. There's an internal switch that toggles between "bass" and "other". Honestly it sounds great on drums, vocals, and those funny 6-stringed tiny basses too.

All Sundog pedals are individually soldered, painted, stamped, assembled, and tested by hand in small batches in our Portland, Oregon studio. Each unit has a completely unique, one-of-kind paint swirl pattern. Unless otherwise noted, your pedal will not be the exact unit pictured but will have the same paint colors, knobs, and stamped details. Because we're a small shop with limited manpower, we cannot accept returns except for special cases.

RC controls:

VOL - output volume / makeup gain.

ATCK - (attack) how quickly the compressor engages. Left is faster, right is slower.

SUS - (sustain) compression level. Left is no compression, right is total squish.

True bypass.
