This is a classic solid pine merchant chest (also commonly styled as an apothecary chest or combi chest of drawers), highly recognizable by its traditional multi-drawer layout.
It features a practical 3-over-6 asymmetrical layout (3 smaller top drawers resting above 6 larger stacked drawers).
It is constructed from solid knotty pine with a clear hand-waxed or light lacquered finish that highlights the natural wood grain and knots.
The piece is fitted with traditional matching round wooden mushroom knobs.
It sits on a solid, clean plinth base.
These multi-drawer solid wood chests are highly sought after for both rustic country decor and practical storage configurations.
This dresser is in wonderful condition with only minor signs of wear on top. Drawers work smooth. Measures 58' w x 22' d x 41'.5 h. Pick up in Southeast Portland off Division and 160th Ave near the Gresham line. Cash or Venmo only. Thanks for looking.
