Lumber Handler – Temporary Worker (Portland, OR 97217)
Pay: $19.50/hr | Start: Monday 7:00 AM | 40 hrs/week | 3-week Assignment

Description:
We’re seeking energetic temporary workers to bundle and stack lumber at our North Portland operation. Duties include organizing lumber, cleaning work areas, and following safety guidelines. This is a very active, physically demanding role – no machinery or vehicle operation required. Employees must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and work with stained wood (clothing may get dirty). Protective equipment (PPE) provided.

Responsibilities:

• Bundle/stack lumber into neat units
• Clean up work area & other areas as needed
• Follow all safety procedures – PPE provided
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Stand/walk throughout the entire shift
• Lift, rotate, push/pull boards up to 30 lbs
• Sweep, rake, and lift debris
• Follow verbal and written directions

Safety:

• Employer provides PPE (hearing protection, gloves, masks, safety glasses)
• Long sleeves, pants, and work boots recommended
• Follow all safety rules
• No machinery or vehicle operation

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM start
• 40 guaranteed hours/week
• Temporary assignment for 3 weeks, may extend

Location:
Portland, OR 97217 (North Portland). Please note: Location is not easily accessible by public transportation.

Other Details:

• No screening required
• Start as soon as Monday
• Leave cell phones in locker/vehicles during shift
• Assignment involves working with stained wood—clothes may get dirty
