The Generac 100 kW QT Series (Liquid-Cooled) generator is a premium, high-output unit designed for large residential or small-to-medium commercial applications, including retail, clinics, and offices. It features a V10, 6.8L automotive-style engine (2300 RPM), aluminum enclosures. It can run on natural gas or propane, featuring Quiet-Test modes and 3-phase output capabilities.
This custom configuration is designed for mobile deployment. This allows for deployment in non-developed areas where there may not be electrical service at all. The V10 engine runs on propane supplied from 250 gallon tank. The unit is mounted on a customized tandem axle trailer. The propane tank is moved separately.
The generator main breaker is 480 v, 3-phase, 175 amps. continuous duty. (125 kva, 0.8 pf)
The electrical output is applied to a 480 volt distribution panel. The panel has a 150 amp sub-feed breaker.
The above sub-feed breaker supplies a Jefferson 75 kva transformer: Input High: 480/277 3-phase to Output Low: 208/120 3-phase
That transformer outputs to a 300 amp distribution panel. The panel has a sub-feed lugs; no breaker. There are convenience outlets already connected: 208 1-phase, 50 amp, AND 120 v, 20 amp outlets.
The unit is immediately usable from the available outlets. The distribution panels accept breakers to suit your connection needs.
Unit is available with Generac transfer switch. This is not used and not connected in this configuration. The transfer switch may be useful in a standby application.
An extra H-100 Control Panel is available. It was bought from Generac ($3000) and programmed for this unit. However, it was not necessary to replace the existing control panel. The user's manual is included. See the photos.
The unit has been serviced and load tested. It is turn-key ready. Open the propane gas valve, turn the ignition key, and you're in
business.
