Fabrication shop in the SE Portland area is seeking experienced independent welding/fabrication contractors for ongoing production and fabrication projects.
Contract rate: $25–$30/hour depending on experience and capability or Piece Rate for each assembly fitted and welded according to specifications.
The shop is accessible 7 days a week, providing flexibility for independent contractors to take on available fabrication work based on their availability.
We're looking for contractors with:
Professional welding and fabrication experience
Ability to produce clean, consistent welds
Experience working with heavy steel and fabricated assemblies
Ability to accurately measure, fit and fabricate components
Ability to work independently from drawings, measurements and project specifications
Reliable transportation
Strong attention to quality and safety
Their own basic welding/fabrication hand tools preferred
This opportunity is intended for experienced independent contractors, not entry-level welders.
Contractors should be capable of completing assigned fabrication work with minimal supervision.
Contractors may accept available work based on their availability.
The shop is accessible seven days a week, and ongoing projects may be available for contractors who want additional work.

Contract Rate: $25–$30/hour DOE or Piece Rate to fit and weld one assembly meeting required specifications
