Rent from real people! Our apartment offers spacious functionality with historic charm. Central to NE shops, food trucks and thoroughfares to greater Portland. The apartment is in great condition, and we appreciate tenants who are good at communication and will take care of the space. Recently replaced appliances, dishwasher, massive storage in walk in closets, and bike parking and laundry machines in basement. Street parking is ample and safe in an increasingly 'hip' neighborhood. Owners/landladies are accessible and non-corporate :). Will rent furnished for a fee or empty. Water is included, and tenant pays for electricity.
The Lindquist Building is in the state historical record, which means if you like an old Twin Peaks mystique, or 1930s tile, the apartment has a discernible heritage. It's located a block off Sandy Boulevard which is an artery to downtown or freeway on ramps, but quiet and removed from urban noise disruption. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindquist_Apartment_House
The area is as safe as most in Portland, just bring your stuff in from your car. The apartment is very safe, accessed through the building's locked front hall which has cameras for easy package delivery.
I am adding a description from the previous tenant:
"My time here has been more than excellent. Luna and Lisa have been fabulous home owners to me. Whenever I had an issue with anything they were quick to respond and get the task done. The apartment itself is amazing with vintage charm and lovely features. The details of the apartment really set it apart from all of the new builds in the area, in my opinion they are much more charming! The neighbors keep to themselves but are very friendly. I have never had any issues here.
"On top of the lovely apartment and owners, the neighborhood is something to brag about. On my days off I don't even have to use my car, everything you need is in walking distance or nearby. There are plenty of places to dine and grab a drink or a coffee. Some of my favorite places in Portland just happen to be just blocks away from home. Living off NE 28th and Sandy have been a great experience for my time living here, I wouldn't want to live in any other neighborhood. Trader Joes is just a 5 minute drive, Fred Meyers is only a 3 minute drive and if you are feeling up to it, Whole Foods is not even a 10 minute walk.
"The highways are close by, so getting anywhere in the city is a breeze. Downtown is a short 10 minute drive. There is a bus route just a half a block away if you take public transport. Laurelhurst is a quick 20 minute walk and there are tons of local events that happen there. NE 28th commonly has street fairs and block parties which are fun. The apartment is also located close to Burnside and Glisan, making getting around super easy. Laurelhurst and Hollywood theaters are just minutes away. There is so much to do in just the few block around the home!
"I also can note that walking around the neighborhood is just to die for. It is so beautiful, the neighbors are so sweet and everyone's yard is incredible! Neighbors are always willing to share fresh herbs, figs, and cherries from their properties.
I cant say enough great things about this apartment and area. If I wasn't moving from Portland I probably would never leave!"
