Serving the Portland, Oregon area and all of Oregon and Washington with architectural design services for new building projects such as new homes, home additions, multi-family (apartments), commercial buildings, Tenant Improvements (tenant space), church buildings and additions, and food cart pods sites and associated buildings. Services include everything from conceptual design through construction. For commercial projects, more is involved, such as land-use planning, PUD (Planned Unit Development) if applicable, schematic design, design development, construction drawings/documents, consulting with structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, building permit process, and construction administration.
Architect works from his home office, so no high-overhead expenses of a large firm.
In collaboration with associates in a design office, 3D modeling is available for conceptual design, design development, and presentations for clients.
If you are considering remodeling or an addition to your home, or adding a structure on your lot or property to include an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit), I have much experience regarding this design and the permitting process. The experience is similar for duplexes. Also, if you want to “age-in-place” and need your home accessible, such as a ramp to your front door, and maneuverability within your home, I have much design experience with this.
Triplexes and larger are considered multi-family, so these are designed and permitted as such.
If you need to upgrade your building to ADA (American Disability Act; but now referred to as Accessible & Usable Buildings & Facilities) or Accessibility Standards, including from parking lot to the building entrance and within the building, I have much experience with this as well.
I can assist you with your Change of Occupancy or Change of Use requirements, beginning with an initial investigation to let you know the potential complexity of the change. The next steps advance to design, permit drawings and documents, then proceed through permit application and permit process.
