2x Large Locking Trunks with 4x The Club Padlocks (used) Storage Chest - $50 (NE Portland)

Each trunk when counting the brass that sticks out slightly farther than the rest of it is 30” (inches) wide.
1x trunk (the bottom 1 in the first picture and left 1 in the second picture) is from the early 1990s and back then they were designed to not be as stackable, the other trunk (the top 1 in the first picture and right 1 in the second picture) is from late the 1990s and from then-on-out they were designed to be very stackable (but these 2 still stack on top of each other OK just not quite as well), the early 1990s 1 the built-in lock broke so I removed it, the hasp still works though, the late 1990s 1 still has the built-in lock and comes with 2x keys that will work for it (each slightly different but both work as 1 was for the early 1990s trunk) and you can also turn the lock with a fork or screwdriver or some other tool so it is not very secure but is a “better than nothing lock.” Both trunks are black. Both have some minor cosmetic issues (so some signs of wear). Both the inside is unpainted. The marks on the inside of the lid of the older style 1 are from glue where a long time ago I decorated that part of it with clippings from magazines then later took wet paper towels followed by dry paper towels to get rid of it as much as I could and then I threw the little bits that came off away. Both trunks are clean inside-and-out.
The 4x The Club Padlocks came in a set and so are all keyed the same which makes things much more convenient as you don’t have to try and remember what-key-works-for-what and keep track of multiple types of keys and it comes with 7x keys for them and each says “The Club” on it so there is no way you can not know which of your locks they work for if these are you only The Club locks except the left club lock on top of the chest is missing the black plastic thing that says it is The Club lock but it is 1 and so works with the same key as the rest of the set and the second The Club lock still has the small circular sticker on it (shown in the picture) that says “#1 in safety and security products” but none of the rest do. And The Club locks by the way have a reputation for quality and you can feel the quality just from handling 1 as well as how smoothly a key unlocks 1. All 9x keys total come organized on an included keyring. Also included is a chain-style dog leash and the idea is you would stack the 2x trunks, use a The Club padlock for each and combine with the dog leash to make it so “instead of 2 strong guy bad guys being able to carry off a single heavy trunk loaded with your stuff and then work on opening it elsewhere not even 2 strong guy bad guys will be able to move both heavy trunks loaded with your stuff.” How it’s hooked up is 1st a lock for the top chest is locked on the half circle half square ring of the leash clip base, the chain is then wrapped around bottom lock for the bottom chest and the ring of the leash locked, then the dog leash clip clips to the top of chain so it stores neat. While a bad guy can just unclip that top clip as well as the 2x fasteners of each chest it still would slow him down and bad guys don’t want to spend much time in a residence and it also looks more secure so is deterrent from him even messing with the trunks so I recommend if they have valuables in them to lock them up this way.
As for if you should keep them unlocked if no valuables were in them, a trunk unlocked means a bad guy won’t damage it breaking-in (good) but locked wastes his time (good) and so if nothing in it and stored in as storage locker I recommend leaving them unlocked while for in a residence I recommend leaving them locked.
And while they still make trunks like the late 1990s 1 they are more expensive for just 1x new than everything you get in this ad. And they also make 2x lame versions also more expensive for just 1x new than everything you get in this ad with 1 with wheels that while great for moving makes it easy for a bad guy to steal as now only 1 strong guy bad guy can move it as well as since the wheels take up space both inside-and-out of that type you can’t store it as close to a wall nor store quite as much stuff inside it so it’s overall lame and a type that while it doesn’t have wheels (good) it neither has a built-in lock nor a hasp for a padlock so can’t lock (bad).
Some people also call them “footlockers” but that tends to just mean the military version which is smaller and OD (olive drab) or the business that sells shoes so most people just call them “trunks” or “chests.”
While I am selling everything in this ad as a set and so will not sell you just part of what is in this ad, you are welcome to buy the whole set then resell what you don’t need or resell all of it even and even if you make more for it than what you paid me I won’t be mad.

If you are taking public transportation my apartment complex is right by where the 77 and 73 bus lines intersect at the intersection of Halsey St and 122nd Ave (so either works great to get here) and is walking distance from some other bus lines and walking distance from the E 122nd Ave MAX station (which the 73 bus line also goes to) and when you get here you can just wait by the mailboxes at the front of my apartment complex and I will bring out your item(s) to you.
