Offered for sale is a beautiful, American-made Pedulla Thunderbass T5 from the early to mid 1990s, featuring neck-through construction, highly figured maple, transparent amber finish, and gold hardware.
Handcrafted in the USA, Pedulla basses earned an outstanding reputation for their craftsmanship, playability, and distinctive tone. Michael Pedulla retired and discontinued production in 2019, making these instruments increasingly difficult to find.
Excellent overall cosmetic condition, with beautiful figuring throughout the body and neck. The original finish retains its gloss, and the instrument shows only minor signs of careful use consistent with its age. Additional photographs available upon request.
All electronics and controls function properly, although the middle control (pickup blend) produces some noise when adjusted. The bass retains its original pickups, electronics, hardware, and finish, with no known modifications.
Localized finish separation appears along the upper edge of the fingerboard near the 1st and 9th–11th frets (see the final two photographs). The affected areas are stable and are only slightly noticeable to the touch.
The Thunderbass was one of Pedulla's flagship instruments, combining premium tonewoods, meticulous craftsmanship, and neck-through construction. Its sculpted body and uninterrupted neck design provide comfortable access to the upper frets. The Bartolini pickup system offers a versatile range of bass tones suitable for jazz, funk, rock, fusion, and other styles. This is a fine example of American boutique bass craftsmanship from a respected manufacturer whose instruments are no longer in production.
I am selling it on behalf of a friend, so please allow a little extra time for responses to questions that may require consulting with the owner.
