We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Roofing Material Coordinator to join our roofing company. The ideal candidate has to vast experience in the roofing industry residential and commerical, knows local roofing material suppliers, and has established relationships with local vendors.This person will play a key role in keeping our roofing projects running smoothly by making sure materials are ordered correctly, delivered on time, and coordinated with our production team.Responsibilities:
Order roofing materials for residential and commercial roofing projects.
Maintain strong working relationships with local roofing suppliers and vendors.
Confirm pricing, availability, quantities, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Ensure materials arrive at the correct job sites at the right time.
Track orders, resolve shortages, and handle incorrect or missing materials.
Follow up with suppliers on backorders, delivery changes, and order status.
Review material lists for accuracy and completeness before placing orders.
Help prevent job delays by staying ahead of upcoming material needs.
Communicate effectively with vendors, warehouse staff, and internal team members.
Requirements:
Roofing industry experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of local roofing material suppliers and vendors.
Existing relationships with local roofing supply companies is a major plus.
Experience ordering shingles, underlayment, metal, tile, flat-roofing materials, and related supplies is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using email, phone, and basic computer systems.
Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently.
