Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic devices.
Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and refrigerant line servicing.
Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system conditions for compliance and future reference.
Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure all HVAC-related tasks meet safety standards and building codes.
Operate a driver vehicle safely for on-site visits or equipment transportation when required.
Assist with ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized HVAC/R applications requiring specific technical knowledge.
Experience
Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration, or property maintenance roles.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and appliance troubleshooting.
Familiarity with construction processes related to HVAC system installation or upgrades.
Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents accurately.
Experience working with field service operations across various environments—commercial or industrial settings preferred.
Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications is advantageous.
Previous experience with ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R systems is highly desirable.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred.
Certification or training in electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; proficiency in using diagnostic equipment is a plus.
