We are a small but growing property management and maintenance company servicing residential properties throughout Palm Beach and Broward County. We are looking for a reliable, motivated Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time W-2 basis.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced handyman who is currently working independently and looking for more consistent work, stability, and employee benefits, as well as someone who may have limited experience but is motivated to learn and develop their skills in the maintenance trade.
We have a steady flow of maintenance work and are looking for someone who wants to grow with a small business rather than rely on individual jobs.
Position Overview
The Handyman / Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing small to medium residential maintenance requests, performing property inspections, troubleshooting common maintenance issues, and communicating completed work and findings to the management team.
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in doing quality work.
Flexible Schedule
We understand that everyone has different schedules and preferences. Your daily start and end times are flexible.
If you prefer to start early and finish earlier in the afternoon, that's perfectly fine. If you prefer to start later and finish later in the afternoon or evening, that's fine as well.
As long as you are working your full eight-hour day and completing your assigned work, we are flexible about how you structure your schedule. We care about getting the work completed properly and efficiently while giving our employees the flexibility to work during the hours that suit them best.
Responsibilities
Complete general handyman and residential maintenance work
Handle small maintenance and repair orders at residential properties
Perform routine property inspections
Identify maintenance issues and report recommended repairs
Troubleshoot common plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, appliance, and general property issues
Perform minor repairs, patching, painting, hardware installation, fixture replacement, and other general maintenance
Communicate with property management regarding work completed and additional issues identified
Take photos and provide clear updates for completed work
Maintain a clean and professional work environment
Interact professionally and respectfully with tenants and property owners
Manage assigned work orders and complete jobs efficiently
Assist with additional maintenance projects as needed
Requirements
Reliable vehicle for traveling between properties
Own basic hand tools appropriate for general handyman work
Valid driver's license
Reliable and dependable
Able to work independently and manage assigned work
Good communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
Comfortable working in occupied residential properties
Previous handyman, maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
