The FREIGHT BROKER AGENT/ DISPATCH role at FR8TRAX INC is a full-time/part time, on-site position based in Pompano Beach, Fl. The agent will source and match freight loads with qualified carriers, negotiate rates, and secure capacity while maintaining margin and service standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound calls, managing load tenders, tracking shipments, and proactively resolving service issues. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with shippers and carriers, updating transportation management systems, and ensuring timely documentation and compliance with company policies. The agent will collaborate with internal teams to support operational efficiency, meet performance targets, and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage activities, including negotiating rates and coordinating freight movements.
Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle inquiries, and manage service expectations.
Experience with Dispatching, including assigning loads, tracking shipments, and providing status updates.
Proficiency in Account Management, maintaining and growing relationships with shippers and carriers.
Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and common freight modes (e.g., truckload, LTL).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Comfortable using logistics software, CRM tools, and basic office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for resolving issues and ensuring accurate documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain are a plus.
Previous experience as a freight broker, agent, or in a related logistics role is highly beneficial.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
