We are looking for a full-time classroom teacher to work M-F eight hours a day from 8:00 - 4:30 OR part-time to work M-F 8-2. This position would start as a floater teacher to learn our program, philosophy, routine, and to get to know the children. After a month in a float position, you would move to shadowing in our TK classroom. Then, you would move into teaching the class on your own. There will be a maximum of 11 children in the class. Must have experience working in a public or private TK classroom as a solo teacher and be able to interact with their parents in a professional manner. Teachers are responsible for lesson planning (Art, Science, Movement Activities), prepping for their classroom, and sending updates to parents about the children’s progress daily. Familiarity with the UFLI literacy program and EUREKA math are a plus!
Applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 units of Early Childhood Education coursework required by CCL and be able to provide a copy of transcripts. Must also have fingerprint clearance or be willing to be fingerprinted (reimbursement after 3 months of employment) prior to begin work at the center. Mandated Reporter Training, pre-employment physical and T.B. Test (reimbursement after 3 months of employment) as well as proof of MMR and Tdap shots must be completed prior to starting work or have a copy of each that is less than one year old. You will be asked to complete First Aid and CPR training and Infectious Disease & Injury Prevention training within 6 months. There is also a required Sexual Harassment Training, Integrated Pest Management, & Water Safety Training Online Training must be completed within 1 week of hire.
We offer paid holidays after 3 months of hire and you earn PTO (Paid Time Off) from date of hire. We have a 50/50 paid Kaiser Medical Plan with Delta Dental and Chiropractic available after the required waiting period for new hires.
