Project Manager – Data & BI Programs

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of client-facing data, analytics, and BI initiatives. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, technical leads, developers, and client SMEs to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with clear visibility into risks, dependencies, and progress.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing technical projects in an Agile environment using Azure DevOps, with strong ownership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary day-to-day project management contact for assigned client engagements.
• Lead project planning, execution, tracking, and delivery across the full project lifecycle.
• Manage Agile delivery activities, including:
o Sprint planning
o Backlog management
o Stand-ups
o Sprint reviews
o Retrospectives
o Release planning
• Manage project work items, user stories, tasks, risks, issues, and dependencies in Azure DevOps.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, technical leads, developers, and SMEs to ensure requirements are understood and delivered as expected.
• Coordinate requirements discovery, clarification, and prioritization activities.
• Ensure business requirements, acceptance criteria, technical dependencies, and delivery priorities are properly documented and tracked.
• Maintain and communicate:
o Project plans
o Sprint status
o RAID logs
o Action items
o Decisions
o Dependencies
o Milestones
o Deliverables
• Monitor project scope, schedule, resource utilization, and delivery risks.
• Identify blockers early and drive follow-up actions to resolution.
• Coordinate client reviews, demonstrations, testing, UAT, and acceptance activities.
• Support change management and scope control when new requirements are introduced.
• Prepare concise and accurate status updates for client stakeholders and internal management.
• Coordinate cross-functional and distributed resources across different locations and time zones.
• Work with technical teams to support phased delivery and release planning.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and well organized.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration across business and technical teams.
• Escalate risks, issues, and decisions when needed, with clear impact assessment and recommended actions.
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of project management experience, preferably in software, data, analytics, BI, or enterprise technology projects.
• Strong experience managing projects using Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including:
o Backlogs
o User stories
o Tasks
o Boards
o Sprint planning
o Work item tracking
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing distributed, offshore, or cross-functional delivery teams.
• Strong ability to manage:
o Scope
o Schedule
o Risks
o Issues
o Dependencies
o Action items
• Experience coordinating both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Ability to understand technical discussions sufficiently to identify risks, dependencies, sequencing, and delivery impact.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage project execution with limited supervision.
• Strong follow-up and ownership mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Data Analytics, BI, or Power BI projects.
• Experience with data integration or data engineering initiatives.
• Familiarity with:
o Power BI
o Azure Data Platform
o Data Lake
o ETL / ELT concepts
o ServiceNow
• Experience working with global enterprise clients.
• Experience managing dashboard, KPI, reporting, or operational analytics projects.
• Experience working in life sciences or regulated environments is a plus.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or similar certification is preferred.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and delivery-focused Project Manager who can independently drive projects from planning through completion.
The candidate should be able to:

• Maintain a clear and prioritized backlog;
• Ensure sprint commitments are realistic and tracked;
• Surface risks and blockers early;
• Coordinate business and technical dependencies;
• Drive follow-up without requiring constant oversight;
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
• Provide concise, reliable visibility into overall project status.
This is a delivery-focused project management role, not an administrative coordinator position.
