Compass Supported Living Services is hiring caregivers to support two adults with developmental disabilities in Pittsburg and Pleasant Hill, CA. Both individuals have unique personalities, interests, and support needs, and we're looking for caregivers who can provide consistent support while building strong, respectful relationships.
ABOUT THE CLIENTS:
Pleasant Hill:
This individual needs support with personal care and daily living. They have a big personality and know what they like! We're looking for someone patient, adaptable, and able to build a positive relationship while respecting personal preferences and boundaries. Bonus points if you're a Luke Bryan or San Francisco 49ers fan!
Pittsburg:
This individual has more involved medical and personal care needs and benefits from caregivers who can provide attentive support and advocacy. They use a communication device and are social, outgoing, and enjoy interacting with others. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn about individualized communication are important for this role.

Rate of pay ranges from $21.00–$22.00 per hour.

CAREGIVER REQUIREMENTS:
-Dependable and able to maintain consistent availability
-Strong communication skills and the ability to build respectful relationships
-Comfortable supporting individualized personal care needs
-Willingness to learn; no college degree required
-Must have a reliable car, current insurance, and a valid driver's license
-Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
-Must be eligible to work in the United States
-Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
WHO ARE WE?
Compass helps adults with developmental disabilities live interdependently in their own homes through Supported Living Services. As a caregiver with Compass, you will typically support one person at a time in their home and community.
Depending on the person's needs, shifts may include companionship, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, running errands, personal care, medication assistance, advocacy, community activities, and support with building greater independence.
