Bret’s dead. He was a great mechanic and a talented body and paint man. This was one of his project cars. He’s been hanging onto it for 20+ years. Had been. It’s looking pretty rough now but it’s survived theft, a hit and run, a high speed chase (the end of it anyway, when an illegal pit maneuver caused the car being chased to hit it so hard it had to be surgically removed from a tree) 2 angry exes, the nuttiest one used it for target practice, and a fire. Bret resurrected it every time, until he didn’t. It’s rough. The body is more bondo than anything, the only things in the interior are 2 ratty old seats and the gas tank that sits inside the Car in the back w a hose running to the engine. There are parts that go w it, 2 doors, at least one w window glass, a steering column and an instrument panel plus trim pieces and the bumpers. It has a 350 engine and a 350 turbo transmission, there’s only 2 pedals on the floor and the Shifter which is also on the floor says Hurst on it. Bret left it to his sister Jodene, she would like to sell it and would welcome ideas about what it might be worth. Bret also left her a ‘69 Camero SS in much better shape, but that’s a whole nother ad.
If you live or work near Bay Point you could come look at it, it’s on Solano right after Pullman. Title is clean it’s registered w no back fees. Even if you just have an idea what it may be worth, call and talk to Jodene, she would appreciate some help with that. Thanks for reading this long ass ad.
