Looking for a legitimate carpenter who is interested in doing quality work, knows how to frame and do finish work, is ok working alone and also training partners with little or no experience. Good attitude, well adjusted, zero drug and alcohol (this is a zero tolerance requirement, it’s not something I won’t notice I invented the game and 10 years sober now). Purchase an hour of your day for an hour of pay, that includes working not looking at your phone. If any of that is a problem, it’s ok, just don’t apply.
This is not an entry level position and I will leave the position unfilled if I don’t find the right fit.
I have 30 years of experience as a carpenter, 10 years ran a very successful general contracting business in another part of the country. I value workers contribution and I make sure it’s an equitable partnership. If I’m the only one winning, I’m not doing my job. I care about guys and their life and I’ve mentored several employees that now own their own business.
The job is a cash position for now. I am currently remodeling my personal house basically down to studs and changing roof lines, opening and moving walls, new kitchen new bathrooms, etc.
After this job, I intend to open another company doing general contracting in the Pinehurst area at which point we can discuss compensation moving forward within the company. I will always over pay before I under pay if the work ethic and integrity is there.
