My name is Owen B. I am a first year student at Lewis and Clark college in need of part time or gig work while in school. I have experience with manual labor, I am good with people and am in general very driven.
I have varying degrees of experience in maritime, agriculture and carpentry and am interested in continuing to hone my skills in these fields. I am also a highly achieving student pursuing a degree in Anthropology with a minor in either Political science or Russian. My study of social sciences has taught me to look big picture and has improved my ability to learn quickly and understand with little instruction.
I have worked as a learn to sail instructor, as an apprentice/assistant to a carpenter and as general labor on a farm. additionally I have volunteered as a deckhand on board a historic sailing ship. Additionally I am CPR certified, I have my boater's card and I am certified for work in the biotech industry. I can provide proof of these certifications upon request.
I have won a variety of awards and held a variety of leadership positions in various clubs while in high school including president and best delegate in Model United Nations, state qualifier in Delaware Health Occupation Students of America for Pharmacology and graduated as an AP Scholar with distinction.
