This fully rooted mini garden contains 2 types of Cactus, 1 Agave and many other succelents. It's top layer has been decorated with naturally smooth multi-colored ocean pebbes. It is just really getting going after a long time getting the cuttings rooted and will continue to grow and flourish for many years to come. Most of my pieces contain a few varieties that are carefully planted in specific patterns. For this one I took the opposite approach: See how much different stuff I could fit in one pot! The centerpiece is a Prickly Pear paddle which has potential to get massive overtime. The secondary centerpiece is a paddle from a beautiful purple variety that expresses many shades of colors based on the environment. The garden is planted in an all natural Italian Terracotta pot which will continue to develop the natural white bio-patina over time. If you prefer the pure clay look you could always scrub off the white patina with a scouring pad or steel wool. Unglazed Terracotta will develop this white growth over time outdoors, which is part of its natural aesthetic. The plants in this pot can all get much larger unrestricted by a pot. They will grow much larger and stay healthy in their current home but the whole garden could be transplanted in one go into well draining soil years down the road and will spread into a beautiful jungle of Succulents and Cactii of given enough light!
