Location: North Bay – Sonoma, Marin & Napa Counties
KNOW YOUR WAY AROUND A JOB SITE? WE WANT TO TALK.
We're looking for a solid, dependable tradesperson who knows how to build things right.
If you've spent years working in residential construction, know your way around framing and finish carpentry, and take pride in a clean, professional installation, this could be a great opportunity.
We're hiring a Fireplace Installer / Skilled Carpenter to work on residential fireplace projects throughout the North Bay.
Fireplace installation experience is a big plus, but we're also interested in experienced carpenters and construction professionals who have the skills and willingness to learn the fireplace side of the business.
Bottom line: We want someone who can measure twice, cut once, solve problems, and take pride in the finished product.
THE WORK
Install gas and wood fireplaces, inserts, and related components.
Frame fireplace openings, chases, and surrounds.
Handle finish carpentry, including mantels, trim, and custom details.
Read plans, measure accurately, and lay out projects.
Work with venting systems, chimney components, and required clearances.
Troubleshoot installation challenges and find practical solutions.
Coordinate with other trades when needed.
Follow manufacturer specifications and safety requirements.
Keep the job site clean and treat customers' homes with respect.
Complete installations with attention to detail, safety, and quality.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Solid hands-on residential construction experience.
Good framing and finish carpentry skills.
Ability to use power tools safely and efficiently.
Strong measuring, layout, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and stay productive.
Dependability and good communication.
Pride in your craftsmanship.
A professional attitude when working in customers' homes.
Fireplace installation experience is preferred, but strong carpenters with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
YOU'RE PROBABLY A GOOD FIT IF...
You don't need someone looking over your shoulder all day.
You can frame something square, level, and plumb.
Your finish work looks good because you care about the details.
You can spot a problem before it becomes an expensive mistake.
You show up when you say you will.
You know when to ask questions rather than guess.
You take responsibility for your work from start to finish.
We're looking for a craftsman, not someone who just wants to punch a clock.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY?
If you enjoy residential construction but want to focus on a specialized trade that combines installation, carpentry, and problem-solving, fireplace installation could be a great fit.
You'll have the opportunity to put your construction skills to work on projects where quality and attention to detail really matter.
