πΉ About Us
Weβre an established California law firm, founded in 2002, looking to expand our statewide network of experienced independent contractor attorneys.
We provide attorneys with the opportunity to handle legal matters while maintaining a work-life balance of your choosing. We bring you the clients and handle much of the administrative side β you focus on practicing law.
This is a great opportunity for solo and small-firm attorneys looking to supplement their existing practice, attorneys seeking a flexible part-time practice, or experienced attorneys who simply want additional cases without having to market for them.
πΉ Practice Areas
We are particularly interested in California attorneys experienced in:
β’ Family Law β divorce, custody, support, restraining orders and related matters
β’ Civil Litigation β business disputes, breach of contract, property disputes and general civil matters
β’ Employment Law β wrongful termination, wage/hour, discrimination and other workplace matters
We are also interested in attorneys practicing:
β’ Business / Corporate / Transactional Law
β’ Landlord-Tenant Law
β’ Estate Planning / Probate
β’ Personal Injury
β’ Real Estate Law
β’ Consumer Law
β’ Other California practice areas
You do not need experience in all of these areas. You determine which types of matters fall within your experience and which matters you are comfortable accepting.
πΉ What You'll Do
For matters you choose to accept, you will serve as the handling attorney and manage the matter from intake through resolution if need be. You let us know what aspects of the case you want to handle from the get-go, and we will accommodate accordingly.
Depending on your practice area and the particular case, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
β’ Conducting client consultations and developing case strategy
β’ Communicating directly with clients and opposing counsel
β’ Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, correspondence and other legal documents
β’ Negotiating settlements and resolving disputes
β’ Handling hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations and/or trials when applicable
β’ Managing deadlines and substantive case responsibilities
β’ Keeping clients informed regarding the status and strategy of their matters
β’ Working with our administrative and legal support team as needed
You control your workload. We will present matters that fit your practice areas, and you decide whether you want to accept them based on your experience, availability, and interest.
πΉ What We Offer
β’ 100% remote practice β subject, of course, to any necessary court appearances, depositions, mediations, etc.
β’ Flexible workload β accept matters based on your availability and interests
β’ No client marketing or business development required β we bring the opportunities to you
β’ Administrative support β the firm handles client onboarding, retainers, billing/payment collection, and other administrative functions
β’ Professional liability insurance coverage - all matters are handled through the firm; we've got you covered
β’ Access to our attorneys and legal support team when collaboration or assistance is helpful
β’ Opportunity for ongoing case referrals and additional work based on your availability and performance
β’ No requirement to leave your existing practice β this position can supplement your current caseload
πΉ Compensation
Compensation generally ranges from $50β$150/hour and up, depending on the nature and complexity of the assignment and client matter.
Compensation arrangements may also vary for flat-fee and contingency matters.
Specific compensation is discussed before you accept an assignment, so you know the arrangement before deciding whether to take the matter.
