Hello, my name is Yvonne, and I’d love to help you transform your outdoor space into something beautiful, functional, and uplifting, something that perfectly fits your needs and aesthetic preferences!
I have two websites, with somewhat different vibes, to cover different styles and needs, however both sites are my own! It’s all me. One is Sacred Roots Design and the other is Dwell by Design. I'm working on updating Sacred Roots Design so please use password key "enchanted333" to enter.
I’ve been designing landscapes for over 20 years all over Los Angeles County as well as in Orange County, working on projects ranging from simple planting beds, patio “dressing”, and curb-appeal makeovers, to lush gardens and full outdoor living environments. Whether you just need some ideas and solutions to refresh your garden or outdoor space, or you want a digital concept layout with the intention of having a contractor install it for you, I can help you reach your goals! I also offer the "in-betweens" as well, such as DIY coaching, custom plant lists, planting plans, plant order/plant delivery, and more. And I have a network of installers/contractors that I can call on to provide quotes when you're ready.
I can also look over any existing design plans you have to see if there are any potential issues, before you move forward.
I'm experienced with:
• Custom gardens, flower beds, and lawn alternatives
• Hardscapes of all types: patios, paths, terraces, gravel, boulders
• Raised planters, potted plants, veggie & herb gardens
• Fences, pergolas, and wood structures
• Outdoor living & kitchen areas
• Fire pits, fireplaces & water features
• Seating, entertaining & sanctuary spaces
• Plant sourcing, custom plant lists & conceptual sketch plans
• Consultation, coaching & aesthetic guidance
• Installation available through my contractor network
Pre-Holiday Special Offer:
For a limited time, I’m offering video consultations at nearly half-price—a great way to get fresh, professional ideas and solutions that will set a clear path ahead without a big expense. Perfect if you want guidance on what to plant, how to refresh your yard, or how to get started on a project. My discounted price for a one-hour video consultation is now only $50.00! That's almost 50% off the usual price of $95.00. Grab a consultation now and get some wonderful ideas and solutions at a truly fabulous price.
I'm also offering Gift Certificates, the perfect gift for someone who needs some ideas and solutions! These are also on sale at the same price and for the same timeline offered above!
What makes my services unique:
While I can create any style—minimalist/modern, drought-tolerant, Mediterranean, natural, cottage, Zen, pseudo-tropical and much more—I especially love designing spaces that feel personal, welcoming, and even a little enchanting if you like! Gardens that become retreats and sanctuaries, places of rest and healing, spaces for visiting, gathering, and playing games, or simply a space you enjoy looking at or strolling by.
I’m happy to work with all project sizes, i.e. small new planting areas & garden nooks, balcony & patio gardens, make-overs & refreshes, new full gardens, and designs for complete outdoor living areas.
