Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable dishwasher/kitchen assistant to ensure dinner service runs smoothly. You will play a vital role in keeping our dishes, glassware, and cookware properly sanitized. By maintaining a clean and organized dish area, you will allow our team to focus on creating a wonderful guest experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Dish & Cookware Cleaning: Operate commercial dishwashers and hand-wash pots, pans, and delicate utensils according to health and safety standards.
Sorting & Storage: Sort, stack, and dry clean dishes and flatware, returning them to their designated storage areas.
Sanitation & Hygiene: Keep the dish room, sink stations, and surrounding floors clean, dry, and free of clutter throughout your shift.
Waste Management: Monitor trash cans, change liners, and take out garbage to designated dumpster areas.
Kitchen Support: Assist with food prep tasks or sweeping/mopping kitchen floors during slower periods.
Equipment Maintenance: Monitor dish machine water temperatures and cleaning chemical levels, reporting any mechanical defects to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Work Ethic: Highly reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hot, and noisy environment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and routinely lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Team Player: Ability to take direction, collaborate with the kitchen staff, and switch tasks when needed.
Availability: Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
