A Pasadena-based filmmaker, producer, and SAG-AFTRA actor is casting strong improvisational actors and actresses for an ongoing comedy series being produced for YouTube.
We're building a recurring ensemble of performers who can think on their feet, create believable characters, and turn simple situations into genuinely funny moments. If you enjoy improvisation and character comedy, we'd love to meet you.
Our style is inspired by shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, and Parks and Recreation, where authentic reactions and improvisation create the comedy.
We're Looking For
• Men and women, approximately ages 20–60
• Strong improvisational skills (this is the most important requirement)
• Excellent comedic timing
• Comfortable creating dialogue from simple scene outlines
• Character actors with unique personalities and natural reactions
• Reliable, professional, and easy to collaborate with
• Available for recurring appearances
No formal improv training is required, but you should be comfortable creating dialogue and staying in character without memorizing long scripts.
The Project
Episodes range from 2–5 minutes and are designed for YouTube. We'll be producing multiple comedy series, giving actors opportunities to return in recurring roles as new characters.
Current projects include:
• Character-driven workplace comedy
• AI satire
• Dark comedy
• Mock Podcast interviews
• Improvised sketch comedy
Most scenes begin with a simple premise, and the actors help discover the comedy through improvisation.
Compensation
Copy and credit - This is currently a low-budget independent production.
As the channel grows through YouTube revenue, sponsorships, and other income, all principal performers will participate in revenue sharing. We believe in building a long-term creative team where everyone benefits from the project's success.
