Telford Reynolds Electric, Inc., a Florida Licensed Electrical Contractor and Authorized Generac Dealer, is seeking an experienced Generator Installation & Service Technician to join our growing team.

Compensation
Starting at $24.00 per hour – Current Generac Air-Cooled Certification
Starting at $28.00 per hour – Current Generac Protector Series (Liquid-Cooled) Certification
Top pay available for highly qualified technicians with advanced electrical troubleshooting skills, multiple factory certifications, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Install residential and commercial Generac Air-Cooled standby generators.
Install Generac Protector Series (Liquid-Cooled) standby generators.
Install and wire Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
Perform complete generator startup, commissioning, programming, testing, and customer training.
Perform preventative maintenance on residential and commercial standby generators.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, fuel, and control system failures.
Troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) operation.
Perform warranty and non-warranty service work.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
Complete accurate service reports, startup documentation, and warranty paperwork.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and system operation.
Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle, inventory, and work area.
Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications
Experience installing and servicing residential and commercial standby generators.
Current Generac Air-Cooled Certification preferred.
Current Generac Protector Series (Liquid-Cooled) Certification is a major plus.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Ability to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in Florida weather.
Preferred Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician experience.
Florida electrical experience in residential and commercial wiring.
Experience with Kohler, Cummins, Briggs & Stratton, or other standby generator brands.
Experience using diagnostic software and digital service documentation.
EPA Section 608 certification is a plus but not required.
