We’re a nonprofit dog rescue looking for a reliable, compassionate driver to help transport rescue dogs to veterinary appointments, adoption events, meet & greets, and other occasional outings throughout the San Diego area.
This is paid work, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Transportation is often one of the most important pieces of getting a rescued dog the medical care they need and, ultimately, into a loving home. ❤️
Our first need is TOMORROW MORNING for transportation to a veterinary appointment in South San Diego. The dog traveling tomorrow is a sweet senior, approximately 80–90 lbs. He is very docile and may be deaf, so he needs someone patient, gentle, and comfortable with larger dogs.
Pay is $25/hour for the entire trip — there AND back. Payment must be accepted through Cash App, Venmo, or PayPal.
Tomorrow's destination is here:
Telegraph Canyon Rd #505, Chula Vista, CA 91910
We’re looking for someone who:
Has a reliable, climate-controlled vehicle — dogs must be transported inside the vehicle with working A/C
Is comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments
Can safely lift approximately 50 lbs without difficulty when necessary
Has a valid driver’s license and is a safe, dependable driver
Is patient, gentle, and attentive with rescue dogs
Ideally has their own appropriately sized dog crate and can transport dogs secured inside a crate. This is preferred but not required.
Would be interested in additional paid transport opportunities for vet appointments, adoption events, meet & greets, and other rescue needs
You do not need to be a professional animal transporter. What matters most is that you genuinely care about animals, are responsible, communicate well, and are someone our rescue can count on.
Every trip matters. Sometimes getting a dog to a vet appointment or meeting a potential adopter is one of the final steps between the life they came from and the new life waiting for them. You get paid for your time while also helping a rescue dog get one step closer to healthy, safe and home. 🐾❤️
If you’re available tomorrow morning, please reply with your name, where you’re located, what type of vehicle you drive, your experience with dogs, whether you have a crate available, and a phone number where we can reach you.
Please put “Tomorrow’s Vet Trip” in your response so we know you saw the immediate need.
